4th of July blockbuster event!
The Mammoth Lakes Chamber of Commerce 4th of July Parade is on Thursday, July 4! The parade begins at 11 am and wraps around 12:30 pm. Wear your best patriotic outfits and bring your camp chairs to enjoy the parade of floats as they move through town! Attendance is free and all are invited.
Our Grand Marshal this year was supposed to be Bobby Tanner and his family from Red's Meadow Resort! There has been an update, please see below.
The parade starts at the intersection of Chateau Road and Old Mammoth Road (by Salsa's Taqueria) and ends at Manzanita Road and Main Street (by A-Frame Fine Wines & Spirits)
For an elevated parade experience, look no further than the 4th of July VIP Party! Enjoy a shaded premiere parade viewing party with beer, soft drinks, and a 4th of July-style lunch. Cocktails will be available for purchase. The party will be hosted in the Bar Sierra parking lot and begins at 10:30 am (half an hour before the parade start-time) and ends at 1:30 pm.
$40 Per Person • $25 for children 12 and under • Free for children 5 and under
This year, the Tanner Family, long-standing members of the Eastern Sierra community, were selected as Grand Marshals for the 4th of July Parade. Sadly, Bobby Tanner, the second-generation owner of Red’s Meadow Resort and Pack Station, as well as Rock Creek Lodge, recently passed away. The Chamber will be paying a tribute to him at the beginning of the Parade. His wife Claudia and their son Bo will honor Bobby by leading a Riderless Horse, followed by a procession of friends and family. Join us in commemorating Bobby Tanner in a way that is fitting to his lifetime dedicated to the community. Learn more about the family HERE
