Winter Airport Field Surveyor (Seasonal, Part-Time)
Location: Mammoth Yosemite Airport (MMH) *in-person required
Season: December through April
Hours: Approximately 6 hours per week based on flight schedule
Hourly Range: $16.50-$18.50 per hour
Overview
Mammoth Lakes Tourism (MLT) is hiring a friendly, reliable Seasonal Surveyor to welcome visitors at Mammoth Yosemite Airport and gather quick digital surveys that help evaluate and sustain winter air service. This very part-time, people-facing role supports the community and provides flexible hours. Shifts align with Advanced Air flights from Hawthorne (HHR) and Carlsbad (CLD) on Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Sundays (plus holiday schedule adjustments). You’ll staff at least one arrival and one departure window on operating days; exact times are scheduled in advance.
Key Responsibilities
Greet passengers and create a positive first impression of Mammoth Lakes.
Encourage travelers to complete a short QR code survey; provide simple tech help.
Track survey counts and report to MLT after each shift.
Ensure signage/QR codes are visible; notify MLT if updates are needed.
Coordinate politely with airport staff, Hot Creek Aviation, and Advanced Air crew.
Qualifications
Comfortable approaching travelers with confidence and friendliness.
Strong customer service skills; dependable and punctual.
Able to stand/walk for 1-2 hour windows.
Comfortable with smartphones, QR codes, and basic tech.
Able to work independently at the airport.
