Panum Crater Geology Walk

Did you know that the Eastern Sierra is one of the most geologically active regions in the US? Join us this Summer on one of our FREE Geology Walks to hike into a young volcano and learn more about the wild forces that shaped the area.

When: Friday, June 6, 9:00am – 10:30pm
Where: Meet at the Panum Crater Trailhead kiosk
What: Panum Crater trail is about 2 miles in length with some elevation gain.

All ages are welcome on all of our hikes, but children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult.

We recommend dressing in weather appropriate layers, having sun protection such as hats and sunglasses, wearing comfortable walking/hiking shoes, and bringing a small pack with water and snacks.
